Founded in 1925 and has continuously served as the sole provider
of fire protection to the Town of Orange, Connecticut

Thank you for visiting the official website of the Orange Volunteer Fire Association, Inc.

The entire membership, including the Fire Chief, provide their professionally trained services on a 100% volunteer basis,  and are committed to the protection of life and property in the Town of Orange.

The Association is financially self-supporting.  Only a small percentage of tax dollars of the town is donated to the fire department. The majority of funds for operating and capital expenses are raised at the annual Carnival, which is held during the first weekend in August at the Orange Fairgrounds on Orange Center Road.

All firefighting apparatus and equipment is owned by the Association. The success of the Carnival provides the ability to purchase new apparatus and equipment to best serve and protect the expanding Orange community.

There are two fire stations – Fire Headquarters on Orange Center Road, and Station 2 located on the Boston Post Road.  These two facilities house a total of seven firetrucks, for optimum coverage of every emergency throughout the town.
